In 2017, the Lighthouse Hope Society was recognized by the Perak government with an "Excellence Award" for reaching out to the needy.
The Lighthouse Hope Society was awarded the Pride of Workmanship Award for 2015.
Its president Dr S.S. Gill, who received the award at the Rotary Club of Ipoh, said he felt very encouraged and honoured to be selected as one of the recipients for the award.
